Crete’s holiday season begins in April and continues through to October.  Weather wise there is still a risk of rain in April, despite this temperatures are generally very pleasant.  In May and June you are almost guaranteed warm weather.   Peak season is July and August when daytime temperatures average at about 29°C.  In September and October the temperatures are much more favourable.   To summarize May, June, September and October are the best months to visit Crete if you don’t want to endure very hot temperatures, but you do want to explore what this Greek island has to offer.

Rethymnon

Hersonissos

Lyttos Beach
